This will show you how to add Google forms to WordPress using a simple coding method and without any plugins.
This allows you to gather feedback or collect information from your readers using the wonderfully simple (and free) Google Drive system that comes with any Google account.
You can find an example of this on our WordPress feedback form when you sign up for our free newsletter.
How to add Google forms to WordPress
1. Create your form in Google Drive
Google forms will guide you through the process of creating and customizing all the fields you need.
You could create a standard contact form with Name, Email and a Message area, or compose more elaborate check boxes and drop-down lists depending on your needs. NOTE: You can click the View Live Form link to see what it will look like.

2. Embed the form into your page.
From the form edit page, click File >> Embed…
Copy the code that Google gives you.
Switch across to WordPress and go to the edit screen for your page or post.
Click the Text tab in the editor and paste the code where you want your form to appear.
When you switch back to the Visual mode you will see a ploacement box to show where the form will be.
3. Set the forms email notifications
On the main Google Drive page, open the spreadsheet (result) view of the form and select Tools >>Notification rules…
Set the form to send you a daily digest for when a user submits a form.
4. Test on the front-end of your site.
If you haven’t already published the page do so now and check that everything is working correctly. Visit the page in another browser, or while you are logged out of your WordPress site and submit a form to test the system.
Now you can embed Google forms into WordPress and collect feedback and form data from your readers.
