This will show you how to add social media profile buttons to a widget area in WordPress.

How to add social media widgets to WordPress
1. Install a social media widget.
Navigate to Plugins >> Add New and enter the exact plugin name into the search field. Allow WordPress to install and activate it.

Choose from a variety of icon themes and a more diverse range of social networks. This one is more eye-catching.
2. Drag the widget to your sidebar or footer and paste in your social profile URLs.
You will need all your social media profile URLs ready to paste into the relevant fields. The best way to get them is to visit the web page in a browser and copy the URL from the address bar.
Simple Social Icons configuration is as easy as pasting in your networking URLS. If you want to adjust the background and icon colors you can use this color picker tool to create the required color codes.
Social Media Icons Widget configuration starts with choosing a theme from the drop-down menu and then clicking on the icons you want to add to your widget. A field will open and you can paste in the URL to your profile.
3. Click the Save button and preview your new social widget.
